D-PHYS Lab Networks¶
In collaboration with the network team of central IT services, we offer isolated networks for laboratories. Please talk to us for more details.

Instructions¶
Connect wireless devices¶
Join the eth-iot SSID with your lab network's personal pre-shared key (PPSK) that we gave to your research group.
Connect via VPN to your lab¶
If a dedicated VPN was set up for your lab network, all members of the corresponding access group (typically your cost unit) can use the ETH VPN client with a special realm (in addition to the normal staff-net).

Configure ETH NTP server for time synchronization¶
The restricted firewall does not allow outgoing NTP connections to external time syncronization servers (like time.windows.com or time.apple.com). Please configure your hosts to use the ETH NTP servers (time.ethz.ch, time1.ethz.ch, time2.ethz.ch).
